Weekend marathons dominated by masters moms
It’s one week before Mother’s Day and the running scene is celebrating the success of super fast masters moms who ran incredible marathons in Canada over the weekend.
On Sunday, Canadians participated in three notable marathons in the country in Vancouver, Toronto and Mississauga. In each race, the top woman was not only an incredibly fast marathon runner, but also a mother.
The champion of the Goodlife Marathon was Jutta Merilainen. She ran a 3:00:44 marathon. Merilanien is 43. This isn’t her first race success of 2015, she ran the Around The Bay this year finishing with a time of 1:59:26. What an amazing role model for a mother!
