Bands covers Born to Run while running

Born_to_Run

An parody band, The Title Trackers, has put on a hilarious performance to be much appreciated by the running community.

The band has covered Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run, while running on a track. They filmed the whole thing in an effort to promote the March 14 of their new album, The Lost Title Tracks. The parody band writes songs that are supposedly missing from classic rock albums to poke fun at well-known artists.

The idea to cover Born to Run while running came to band member David Tokaji while on a training run. He says the possibility of humiliation was too great to pass up. And it did turn out to be quite humiliating for the three-member band who showed up to a southern California high school track hoping to film without spectators. Instead, they found 60 people in the stands and a field of 22 soccer athletes. The band, which also consists of members Andy Hill and Russ Wiener, showed up to the track clad with tight singlets and 70’s-style headbands.

To  make matters worse, Tokaji tore his calf muscle while performing. The five-time marathoner is now on a running hiatus.

The band estimates that they ran one mile over the course of the performance.
