Charlie Dark’s Ted Talk: Everything you’ve wanted to say about running

Part of the explosion of running’s popularity in the past few years has been the emergence of the “run crew.” Crews are not clubs and Charlie Dark gives perhaps the most accurate description of what that means in his Ted Talk when he says that “fitness doesn’t have to be separate from the rest of your live, it can involve music, it can involve fashion, it can involve communication and networking.”

Dark’s talk is an exploration of why we love to running and the potential of running to change lives, as well as the beauty of community that is ingrained in the sport.

“Cheering a marathon is encouraging strangers to be great,” Dark says. Here at Canadian Running, we like how Charlie Dark thinks.
