Morgan Freeman narrates NBC's film about Jesse Owens, a pioneering athlete who faced racial discrimination in Nazi Germany and won four Olympic gold medals.

Two films about Jesse Owens recounting his remarkable performance at the 1936 Olympics, winning four gold medals in sprint and field events, come out this week.

NBC Sports aired More Than Gold on Sunday. The film’s trailer can be seen above.

The biographical film uses footage shot at the Berlin Olympics and includes interviews with Owens’s teammates including Adolph Kiefer, Iris Cummings Critchell, John Lysak as well as Owens’ three daughters.

The film is 45 minutes and is narrated by Morgan Freeman.

Owens won Olympic gold medals in the 100m, 200m, long jump and 4x100m relay representing the United States in front of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany.

Facing racial discrimination in the U.S. and in Germany, Owens, a graduate of Ohio State University, completed what has become one of the greatest athletics feats in history.

Owens died in 1980 at 66 years of age and was a pack-a-day smoker for 35 years following his athletic career.

Race, an upcoming biographical sports-drama film starring Canadian Stephan James as Jesse Owens, is set to be released on Feb. 19. The trailer for the film can be found below.
