New tech: Spotify adjusts your beats to match your pace

Spotify, a popular music-streaming service, is targeting runner’s that like to listen to music on the run with their new running-based features.

Basically, how it works is that through your phone’s GPS capability and accelerometer, Spotify will be able to identify the pace at which you run and adjust your music needs to match your own pace. This is a similar concept to music set to suit the ideal running cadence.

Not only that, Spotify has also had several musicians and DJs compose music specifically for running. This summer, Spotify also has plans to integrate with Nike+ and the RunKeeper app.

Just that extra motivational boost you needed if you were getting bored of your run playlist.
