VIDEO: Justin Trudeau’s Canada Army Run 5K highlights

A 70-second highlight reel from Justin Trudeau's Canada Army Run 5K on Sunday

Justin Trudeau

On Sunday, Justin Trudeau and thousands of other runners raced the Canada Army Run, an event in support of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Prime Minister of Canada ran the 5K and delivered remarks on the start line prior to taking part in the race. On Sunday evening, a video was posted to Trudeau’s social media accounts highlighting the memorable moments from the Canada Army Run.

“In tribute to those who serve, in support of those who bear the scars – it was an honour to be back at Army Run as PM, with Harjit Sajjan. #StrongProudReady” Trudeau captioned the video on Facebook. See photos from the 5K here and an event recap here.

His 5K chip time was 22:37.4. (In case you’re curious, he wore bib 23, as he is the 23rd Prime Minister of Canada.)
