Video: Track runner Jenny Simpson dives for the $50,000 win

American 1,500m runner Jenny Simpson capped off her season in dramatic fashion at the last Diamond League meet of the year in Zurich. Simpson was the overall series points leader going into the race, but needed to clinch a victory in order to take home the $50,000 cash bonus. Hot on her heels was fellow American Shannon Rowbury, and the two dove for the win at the finish line. Simpson’s superwoman move gained her the .01 second advantage she needed for the win. It’s also likely that Simpson will finish the year the number one ranked women’s 1,500m in the world.
