Video: ESPN E:60 feature on Mikey Brannigan

ESPN featured Mikey Brannigan, one of the favourites for gold at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, on a recent airing of E:60.

Mikey Brannigan
Mikey Brannigan was one of New York’s greatest high school runners of all-time setting multiple state records while attending Northport High School.

When Brannigan was 18-months-old, he was diagnosed with autism and didn’t begin to speak until he was four. Running became his passion.

Attracting interest from more than 200 colleges across the United States – including Harvard, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Duke – Brannigan now attends a community college in New York.

Brannigan is the world record holder in the T20 1,500m, having shattered the previous mark earlier this year. He is one of the favourites for gold at the 2016 Paralympic Games Olympics in Rio.

Note: The end of the video is cut-off but footage from the race can be found at the bottom of the page.
