VIDEO: Runners tap into endurance at Toronto Beer Run

Toronto runners gathered to test their endurance and sample beers from six breweries on an 11-kilometre running pub crawl.

Run miles, sample new beers, cheers, repeat.

For about 500 runners in Toronto, that’s what their Sunday afternoon looked like as they headed to join in on this year’s Toronto Beer Run. A part of the Canada Beer Run, which has events played across the country, The Toronto Beer Run started at esteemed pub Bier Markt. Runners ran just over 11 kilometres in this pub-crawl-style running event.

Runners got to enjoy samples from six breweries as they stopped along the way. The finish was at The Amsterdam Brew Pub at the city’s waterfront.

While the event was capped at 500 participants (only those ages 19 or over were allowed to take part), that crowd was divided into four cleverly-named waves: The Taps, The Pints, The Growlers and The Kegs. Canadian Running was at the event. Check out our video above.

The next event in the series takes place in Kitchener, Ont. on Oct. 2. Tickets are $65.
