XTrail Sutton winners headed to B.C. for Canadian Mountain Running Championships

Trail season in full swing as runners test their mettle at Quebec's Mont Sutton yesterday

Hundreds of hardy runners took to the trails yesterday for the ninth edition of XTrail Sutton, part of the Asics XTrail Series, in Quebec’s beautiful Eastern Townships southeast of Montreal.

XTrail Sutton consists of a 22K, 11.8K and 6.5K trail race almost exclusively on singletrack. Runners must navigate among rocks, roots, mud, streams, and wildlife (moose and bear sightings are common). There is also a 1K kids’ race.
