Our inspiration levels aren’t always where we want them to be. In times where the motivations wanes, we runners often have to outsource it. Not every day is a get-up-and-go kind of day. That’s normal. If today is one of those days where you’re just dragging your feet out the door, this six-minute watch is sure to put the power back in your step.
Documenting scenes from this year’s Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc – a 100-miler that takes runners along a route of mountainous terrain starting in Chamonix, France and bringing them on a tour of France, Switzerland and Italy – this video showcases running at its finest. If it doesn’t appeal to your adventurous side, we don’t exactly know what will.
The UTMB is kind of the holy grail of ultra and trail racing with Francois D’Haene and Kilian Jornet being the first across the finish line this year. Alissa St. Laurent however was the Canadian hero as the nation’s queen of trail running who placed sixth overall in what was an incredible race for the runner.
