Ontario Masters championships set for July 28-29

The outdoor track & field championships are coming to the University of Toronto's Varsity Centre.

The Ontario Masters Athletics outdoor track & field championships are coming to the University of Toronto’s Varsity Centre July 28-29.

There is no minimum time requirement for any event, with the only stipulation being that runners qualify as masters on race day. The minimum masters age in Ontario is 30-years-old.

Runners will be able to compete in the following events: steeplechase, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 110m hurdles, 1500m and 5000m.

There will also be a variety of field events.

The initial event registration fee is $25, with each subsequent race costing an additional $10.

Membership to one of the major athletics association is required to participate (Ontario Masters Athletics, Athletics Ontario, Athletics Canada, CMA or USATF).
