The University of Windsor, based in southern Ontario, is hosting an event next month which will honour legendary cross-country and track and field head coach Dennis Fairall, one of the most successful coaches in Canadian university history.

When: Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 / 7–9 p.m.
Where: Caesars Windsor – Augustus Ballroom II, III, IV
Fairall took a long-term medical leave of absence from his head coaching position in October which allowed the 62-year-old to continue his voluntary coaching of selected elite athletes, according to the Windsor Lancers press release.

Fairall is the winningest coach in Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Ontario University Athletics (OUA) history, according to the Windsor Star.
Fairall has been honoured 65 times as either the CIS or OUA coach of the year in track and field and/or cross-country. He continues to coach world championships 800m silver medallist Melissa Bishop as she trains towards the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
