National Records for Rupp, Farah

13:10, 13:11 European and American Records for Farah and Rupp.

Galen Rupp and Mo Farah fought a close duel in the Aviva Grand Prix 5000m, with the American and the Briton battling right to the line. It was Farah who got the win, in a new European record of 13:10.60. Rupp was just behind him, in 13:11.44, but still got the consolation prize of a new American record.

Farah announced on Feb 18 that he will be moving to Oregon to train with Rupp under coach Alberto Salazar.
