North Pole Marathon is “World’s Coolest Marathon”

26 people set to compete this weekend at the North Pole Marathon.

26 runners landed this morning at the North Pole in order to take part in the world’s Northernmost marathon. They’ve each paid a $16,000 entry fee for the privilege of running 42 kilometres on a snow and ice covered 5km loop, with temperatures around -25 celsius. Competitors have come from around the world, including one Canadian, 48-year-old Glenn Harkness.
