Friday and Saturday (Sept. 1-2) will be ultrarunning-filled for endurance fans as more than 2,300 participants take on the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc.
The race begins at 6:30 p.m. local time (12:30 p.m. EDT) on Sept. 1 from Chamonix, France. The one-loop course returns to the French town and finishes at the site of the 1924 Winter Olympics with top-level runners typically taking 22-23 hours (men) and 25-27 hours (women).
