Toronto Waterfront Marathon runner carries this message wherever she travels
The globetrotting backstory of one runner's tattoos at the 2017 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
Among a strong contingent of English athletes at the 2017 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is Tish Jones.
The 2:33:56 marathoner, who won her debut 42.2K at the 2016 Cape Town Marathon, has travelled to various parts of the world and gets a tattoo for each of the areas she visits. The words “to travel around the world” are tattooed on her right forearm in messages in Afrikaans, from southern Indian, in Thai, Russian, from Peru (Spanish), Welsh and from northern India. Plus, the outline in Africa is tattooed on her wrist.
She says she still needs to add French, and, understandably, English.
