Earl Fee sets his 59th world record at age 90
The indomitable Earl Fee is inching closer to his goal of 60 world records
Earl Fee took more than four seconds off the M90 world record in the 800m at the Ontario Masters Championships at Toronto’s Varsity Stadium on Sunday. The new record is 3:34.93. Fee reports on his Facebook page that the age-graded result is 104.59 per cent.

Fee finished sixth in the race, which was comprised mostly of men in their 60s and 70s. He set world records in the indoor 400m and 800m in March at a meet at Grinnell College in Iowa. Fee told journalist Ken Stone his goal after turning 90 was to get 60 world records (he was at 56 at the time). It’s clearly just a matter of time until he does that, and more.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Fee has more world records than any other living racer, according to iRun.ca. His latest book (he has several) is entitled Earl Fee is Running.
