The Dirty Stuff: The women’s 3000m steeplechase with special guests Chantelle Groenewoud and Jessica Furlan
Welcome to The Dirty Stuff. In each episode we choose an event and gender category, and give you a rundown of the top 10 all-time performers. We investigate each runner’s history of doping, or lack thereof. Our goal is to determine which are the cleanest and dirtiest events in our sport. This week’s focus is the women’s 3000m steeplechase.

Had never seen this footage before.? I don’t remember much about this race, but what I do remember is feeling calm & relaxed on the start line knowing @ChanyGroenewoud was right there with me. It is not coincidental that in the best races of my life, she was there too. ?????♥️ https://t.co/D5jnXeMMcB

We are also joined by special guests Chantelle Groenewoud and Jessica Furlan (starting at 25:35). These Team Canada members were recently upgraded to the gold and silver medals from the 2013 FISU Games after all 3 initial medallists were handed doping bans. Chantelle and Jess chat about the bittersweet news, and about their personal takes on global doping in track and field.
