The Kinvara 9 gets a makeover in this Boston and Dunkin' Donuts-inspired collaboration between Saucony and the coffee and baked goods giant
Two Boston-based giants have teamed up for one of the most unique footwear collaborations you’ll ever see.
Saucony and Dunkin’ Donuts, yes Dunkin’ Donuts, showcased a special edition of the Kinvara 9, Saucony’s most popular neutral-cushioned lightweight trainer. The release, with a Boston Marathon twist as the April 16, 2018 race approaches, features a white mesh upper with the iconic strawberry-frosted doughnut and sprinkles around the heel. A subtle ‘Boston’ stamp is on the EVERUN™ cushioning midsole.
A coffee cup can be seen on the Kinvara 9’s insole. DD is one of the world’s largest chain of coffee and baked goods.
According to highsnobiety.com, the shoe was released on March 27 at Saucony.com though it may only be available in the United States. Hypebeast reports that the shoe will be available at the 2018 Boston Marathon expo.
The special edition Kinvara 9, in a white, magenta, and orange colourway, comes in a Dunkin’ Donuts-inspired doughnut box along with three sets of shoe laces.
