VIDEO: Trio of young racers can’t decide who should break finisher’s tape

Three runners who approached the finish line at the same time couldn't decide on who should be the winner in this adorable video

It was a close finish between three youngsters at the Edinburgh Marathon Kids’ Kilometre.

As race organizers extended a race tape across the finish line, intended for the winner to break through, all three stopped just short of the 1K mark. At the Saturday race, the top finishers completed the 1K in just under five minutes.

Race officials helped out by lowering the race tape and the top three runners, plus a fourth shortly after, walked across together. The children’s parents finished shortly after as they accompanied the 1K racers.

“Have you ever seen a more polite finish to a race?!” the race tweeted out with a rather adorable video. To date, the tweet has been shared more than 400 times while an identical version posted to Facebook has more than 17,000 views.
