Canada’s governing body over road running is hoping to make hosting an event here in the country a bit easier. Tuesday morning Athletics Canada announced they’ve agreed to a three-year partnership with London, Ont., start up company Race Roster.

The company, founded by friends who went to high school together in London, provides a software platform for race directors to manage registration, timing and other logistical hurdles involved in endurance events. The company, since it got started in 2011, has grown to serve over 2,000 events around North America.

“Race Roster values the opportunity to work with Athletics Canada in bringing new technology to the rapidly evolving Canadian road race industry,” said Race Roster CEO Alex Vander Hoeven in a press release. “The objective of this program is to celebrate and support Canadian road racing at the provincial and national levels, while respecting the autonomy, creativity, and individuality of the many running events across the country.”

The company will also remain the title sponsor for the upcoming 2015 national race directors summit in Calgary on May 28. The first race director’s summit was held last fall in the 2014 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon.
