Dancer injured in Boston blasts to dance again in Vancouver

Boston hotels are already selling out.

A professional dancer who lost part of her left leg during the explosions at the 2013 Boston Marathon will perform again for the first time since the attacks in Vancouver on Wednesday, March 19.

Adrianna Haslet-Davis who lost part of her left leg during the attacks last spring will dance the rumba at the TED Vancouver event this week.

The 33-year-old is a professional dancer and dance instructor will perform with a new prosthetic leg designed by Hugh Herr at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her dance at the TED conference will also be a chance to showcase the new technology which was designed to help restore the body’s natural movement.

Haslet-Davis is married to Adam Davis, an Air Force captain, who was also injured during the blasts.

The TED conference began Monday, March 17 and will last until Friday.
