Canadian Running recaps the happenings of 2015 with 15 of the best running photos from the past year.
Over the holidays Canadian Running looked at some of the biggest stories of 2015 as well as the fun, insane, and more ridiculous moments from the year that was.

In our latest installment, we recap 2015 with 15 running photos that best illustrate what went down this past year including appearances from Justin Trudeau, Andre De Grasse and Cam Levins.

Toronto hosted the 2015 Pan American Games – pictured is Mohammed Ahmed, who won the 10,000m, and would later go on to break the Canadian 5,000m record in September.
Natasha Wodak takes the Canadian cross-country championship donning “Believe, Strong, Tough” on her palm. Wodak also set the Canadian 10,000m record at Stanford earlier in 2015.
In addition to the Pan Am Games in Toronto, Edmonton hosted the 2015 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in the summer.

Out recently, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has taken over social media and has extended into the running community.
Cam Levins pulled off an insane double (mile and the two-mile) 30 minutes apart at the Armory Track Invitational in January later attributing his success to his hair. Levins was also featured on the cover of Canadian Running in the November/December issue.
Athletics became the media focus in August for the IAAF World Championships in Beijing where Canadians brought home plenty of hardware.
Lanni Marchant and Eric Gillis are 2015’s masters of road racing collecting the Canada Running Series cumulative championship.
Seb Coe named the president of the IAAF in a year when athletics made plenty of headlines for the wrong reasons because of doping allegations and suspensions.
