He said, she said in case of dead dog kicked by runner
A dog who was kicked by a morning jogger in a San Francisco Bay Area suburb has come to two differing stories by the two involved.
Shortly before 10 a.m. on March 21 a morning runner kicked a pug who was off-leash in a local schoolyard. The dog died in the schoolyard and local police released a statement saying the runner called the police after the incident. It also notes that having dogs off their leash where the dog was kicked is against city ordinance. Stephanie Lisi, 53, told local media she was putting her dogs back on their leash when the runner kicked one of them.
There are differing accounts of how hard the dog was kicked, the runner saying it was a light kick. Lisi also claims the dog was running back to her when the runner kicked it and he had to go out of his way to kick the dog. The runner told police it was running towards him.
The runner has been bitten by a dog before in 2012.
Police are still investigating the incident.
