Kangogo, Kortchaguina set to defend titles in Vancouver

Kip Kangogo and Lioudmila Kortchaguina headline a record field of more than 4,300 runners who will compete in the Scotiabank Vancouver half marathon on Sunday.

Kip Kangogo and Lioudmila Kortchaguina headline a record field of more than 4,300 runners who will compete in the Scotiabank Vancouver half marathon on Sunday.

Kangogo, a Letbridge-based Kenyan, goes in search of his second straight victory at the event, after winning the 2009 race in 1:03:35.

Kortchaguina of Thornhill, Ont., attempts to defend her title in the women’s race.
