Leslie Sexton breaks course record in Columbus

While the Waterfront Marathon was taking most of the Canadian road racing spotlight this weekend, another canuck was making headlines south of the border.

Leslie Sexton of London, Ont., won the half-marathon at the Columbus Marathon in a course record time of 1:13:13, lowering her own personal best by over two minutes.

Columbus draws a big field every year. The 2013 half-marathon event alone had over 10,000 runners, with 6524 women in the race.
