Zahab to cross Siberia in 10-day trek

Ultra runner Ray Zahab will embark on a unique journey through the frozen lands of Siberia, followed by another run in Tunisia, covering almost 700K with all his supplies on his back, starting on March 1.

Ultrarunner Ray Zahab will embark on a unique journey through the frozen lands of Siberia, followed by another run in Tunisia, covering almost 700K with all his supplies on his back, starting on March 1.

On his website, he details how the expedition will take place, including what his meals will be like. Most items will be freeze dried, and they’ll be eating everything from Chicken Tikka to Pasta entrees.

Zahab estimates they’ll cover about 65-70K per day, on the 10-day trek that will begin across the frozen waters of Lake Baikal.
