Documentary on female ultramarathoners in the works

Filmmakers Rebecca Byerly and Natasha Giler are in the process of documenting six women from around the world that compete and live in the mountains. Byerly has already immersed herself in the project by running a 135-mile race in the Himalayas with one of the subjects of the film.

The filmmakers have launched a Kickstarter campaign to finance the rest of the production, which plans to shoot this year in the Alps and Sierra Nevada range in California.
