What it’s like to train for a beer mile world record

Lewis Kent, the 21-year-old Canadian who recently crushed the beer mile world record, hooked up with our video team for an evening session of training. Kent is preparing for what should be the wildest head-to-head race ever: the Flotrack Beer Mile World Championships in Austin on Dec. 1. He’ll be pitted against another Canadian, Corey Gallagher, who previously held the world record.

Watch our video of an evening session with Kent. He reveals that, wisely, he trains with near-beer, and loves to race with Amsterdam Blonde.
