The world champions for 2018 are Geoffrey Kamworor and Netsanet Gudeta, who set a women’s-only world record of 1:06:11. Thanks to a tailwind, Kamworor ran a sensational 13:01 5K between the 15-20K marks of the race, blowing the race open, to win his third IAAF World Half-Marathon Championships title in 1:00:02.
Huge step in the right direction today! Really happy with how I felt out there. Thanks to my friends and family, @HOKAONEONE and @AthleticsCanada for the continuing support as I comeback from surgery. Always an honour to represent Canada!
