Celebrate 4/20 with Nike Toronto

Tomorrow is April 20th, a Friday for some, but a major holiday for others. 4/20, as the holiday is known, is a celebration of cannabis culture. In light of this very Canadian holiday, the Nike Toronto Loft has created “The Nike Dispensary” which launches tomorrow and runs through April 30th.

Nike invites you to come find “a natural high”. Stop by their Loft at 548 Richmond St. W. over the next 10 days and tell them that “Pre” (Steve Prefontaine) sent you. Steve Prefontaine is a former American record holder in the 5,000m and 10,000m and a favourite for gold at the 1976 Olympics. He died in a single car accident before he was able to compete at the 1976 Olympics. “Pre” as he was called, was one of the first ever Nike signed athletes, and was coached by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman. He is referred to as one of America’s great running prodigies.

Nike doesn’t say explicitly what they’re offering at the dispensary, other than, “cushioning like a cloud and kick like a rocket”. This offer runs only through April 30th and is available exclusively at the Nike Loft, not Nike retailers. You can call (416) 433-4440 for more information. Get lifted!
