First look: Hoka One One Cavu

An early look ahead of the release of the versatile and firm-feeling Hoka One One Cavu, scheduled to be released in early 2018

Hoka One One Cavu

A new Hoka One One shoe release is on the horizon but you will have wait a few months for this versatile trainer.

The Hoka One One Cavu, slated for February 2018 availability, is part of the new Fly line of shoes from the maximalist footwear brand. The Fly collection is designed to introduce the brand to the “run fitness omnivore,” in other words activities not limited to just running, consumer with a focus on simplicity, versatility and style without sacrificing performance. It can handle rather high mileage as we’ve learned first-hand. (Hence the slightly worn-in look of the shoe in our first look video.)

The look is simple, with a basic colourway, and offers firmer cushioning than say, the Clifton. The amount of cushioning, based on visual, is like a median point between the Tracer 2, a racing flat, and the Clifton.

Watch for the Cavu to be released in the new year. It will be available for $160.
