New Balance unveils Boston-themed Zante

Each year a handful of running companies try to capitalize on the Boston Marathon craze when the spring race comes around. Though Adidas has been the official sponsor of the race for some 27 years, New Balance is a local resident of the US city and tends to release limited-edition versions of a shoe model.

This year the special Boston edition is of their new Zante light racing shoe. The shoe comes in a fresh, light blue colour and reads “FASTAH” across the sole. The insole shows off the city’s skyline.

Every year, this shoe pays respect to our storied city and the many runners that flock here throughout the year to train and run.”

The shoe will be available to order online or at their Boylston Street store in downtown Boston, starting on April 6.

New Balance has released other Boston-themed versions of their popular shoes in recent years, including a pair that glowed in the dark.
