CBSNewYork.com posted video of the suspects’ arrest Sunday.
The suspects’ names have not been released and few details are available, but authorities believe their leader is connected to Anis Amri, the Tunisian who drove a truck into a crowded Berlin Christmas market in 2016, killing 11. Amri was killed by police in Italy four days after the attack.
Several hundred police officers were on high alert at the race, one day after a van rammed into a crowd in Münster, killing two and injuring at least 20, though that attack is not believed to be linked to terrorism.
Details of the foiled attack will be updated as they become available.
