Think you can only get the Pan Am experience if you live in Toronto? Think again. Here’s how to stay connected.

This Pan Am app can help you purchase tickets, keep track of medal standings, and help map directions to venues. It also provides detailed schedules and results. Also useful is the “Spectator Info,” which gives detailed information on venue services, transportation and contact numbers for further information. The spectator info section is also where you can go to learn more about what security will be like at venues and what items will not be allowed into viewing areas.
CBC Sports App
Broken into “Today’s video,” “Today’s schedule” and “What’s hot,” the CBC Sports app has your condensed need-to-know info and short videos of impressive performances. You can also find out what is being broadcast live on CBC, so you know whether it is worth your time to switch to a larger screen.
Not a video person? Go to the news section for a brief updates on any breaking results or performances. The CBC app also has a photo and bio for each Canadian athlete competing, so you can look up who’s representing Canada in each sport. This is a great feature for anyone watching a sport they aren’t intimately familiar with.

@TO2015
This is the official twitter account for the Games and it’s definitely worth a follow. They’re sending out lots of information that is useful for maximizing your Pan Am experience. I can teach you that one rugby ticket allows you to spectate up to 10 matches and all sorts of other interesting tidbits. If any nervous Torontonians had been watching Twitter last night, they would have been aware that the explosions off of the CN Tower were actually a fireworks dress rehearsal for the opening ceremonies.

Although not strictly limited to Pan Ams content, the CBC Sports Twitter account will have tons of great photos and updates throughout the duration of the Games.
