In 2016, after he won bronze in the 100m and 4x100m and silver in the 200m at the Rio Olympics, De Grasse was honoured at a Toronto Raptors home game. The 23-year-old Phoenix, Ariz. resident is from the Greater Toronto Area.
De Grasse headlines the Canadian team for April’s Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
