The IAAF, which stands for International Association of Athletics Federations, was founded in 1912 as the International Amateur Athletic Federation. The name was changed in 2001 to reflect the professional status of many athletes.
According to the report, IAAF president Seb Coe says the new branding was designed to attract a younger audience.
