If you like to run with music, it’s time to update your playlist with the weekend’s Juno winners. The prizes for the best in Canadian music were awarded in 43 categories over the weekend in Vancouver, with a glitzy televised show hosted by crooner Michael Buble (himself a winner with his “Nobody But Me” record for Adult Contemporary Album) and featuring performances by, among others, Arcade Fire, Jessie Reyez, and Barenaked Ladies (reunited with Steven Page).

Gord Downie’s immortal presence dominated, with a tribute by Sarah Harmer and City and Colour, and prizes awarded in three categories–Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year (shared with Kevin Drew) and Adult Alternative album (for “Introduce Yerself”).

Arcade Fire, who won Album of the Year, opened the show with their hit “Everything Now.” Members of the Barenaked Ladies, who were in their 20s when they broke on the scene 30 years ago, were visibly emotional as one of their idols, Geddy Lee of Rush, inducted them into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Steven Page, who left in a cloud of drama in 2009, rejoined his former bandmates for “One Week” and “If I Had $1,000,000,” joined by an enthusiastic crowd. Jessie Reyez, whose trademark tortured vocals won her a statuette for Breakthrough Artist of the Year) closed the show with “Figures” as a duet with Daniel Caesar, winner for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year.
