This well-known reality television star is formerly an accomplished runner
This reality television star was a standout runner in high school and still holds some of the top times in University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin history.
One of reality television’s biggest stars used to be a cross-country and track runner in high school and university.
According to Sports Illustrated-published photos, Nick Viall, who is currently starring on ABC’s The Bachelor, was an accomplished runner in his late-teens and early twenties. The 36-year-old attended high school in Wisconsin and went on to run for the University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin where he earned a degree in accounting in 2004.

The 36-year-old graduated from Waukesha North, west of Milwaukee, in 1999 and later attended his hometown university where he set a number of school records at the time. According to the institution’s record books, he was part of one of the Panthers’ fastest-ever 4x400m relay squads in 2003 and 4x800m relay teams in 2002. According to UWM Report, Viall’s 4x800m relay team set a then-school record running 7:33.94. According to the SI story, he was a state champion while at Waukesha North.
According to Milesplit, his 800m personal best is 1:54.80.

Viall’s current appearance on The Bachelor is his fourth such starring in the ABC series or related spinoffs. The second-oldest of 11 siblings has twice competed on The Bachelorette in 2014 and 2015, finishing runner-up on both occasions, and also made a recent appearance on the Bachelor in Paradise.

Viall is not the only ex-runner to have starred in either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. American Josh Cox, the national record holder in the 50K and three-time national team member, appeared on ABC’s The Bachelorette in the past. Cox made it to the final eight in season three of the series.
