A runner was attacked on a trail in Langford, BC.

A 23-year-old woman running on a popular trail outside Victoria on Wednesday was knocked unconscious and robbed of her cellphone and cash. She was attacked near Shoreview Drive in Langford, a community in Greater Victoria,  around 7 p.m.

The RCMP is working on the case. They confirmed to CTV that the woman is OK, though she suffered minor bruises.

An RCMP officer gave CTV a vague description of the assailant: an “adult male wearing a jacket that made a swishing sound and wearing gloves.” They believe the attack was random.
