Cam Levins joins Speed River
Cam Levins will remain in Utah but will consult with Speed River's Dave Scott-Thomas on his workouts.
Cam Levins is making some serious changes to his training routine. Although he had an outstanding season in 2012 — NCAA victories in the 5000m and 10,000m, along with 14th-place and 11th-place finishes in the same races at the Olympics — Levins has decided to join the Guelph, Ont.-based Speed River Track and Field Club.
Levins said he will remain in Utah and continue to work with coach Eric Houle. Â But he is going to add Speed River’s Dave Scott-Thomas as a co-coach for his training program. Early indications suggest that Scott-Thomas will write the program, while Houle supervise the workouts.
Canadian Running contributor Paul Gains will have a feature on Levins in January’s issue.
