Cam Levins joins Speed River

Cam Levins will remain in Utah but will consult with Speed River's Dave Scott-Thomas on his workouts.

Cam Levins is making some serious changes to his training routine. Although he had an outstanding season in 2012 — NCAA victories in the 5000m and 10,000m, along with 14th-place and 11th-place finishes in the same races at the Olympics — Levins has decided to join the Guelph, Ont.-based Speed River Track and Field Club.

Levins said he will remain in Utah and continue to work with coach Eric Houle.  But he is going to add Speed River’s Dave Scott-Thomas as a co-coach for his training program. Early indications suggest that Scott-Thomas will write the program, while Houle supervise the workouts.

Canadian Running contributor Paul Gains will have a feature on Levins in January’s issue.
