Hall to chase U.S. marathon record in Chicago

Ryan Hall has announced that he will target Khalid Khannouchi's American marathon record of 2:05:39 at this year's Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Ryan Hall has announced that he will target Khalid Khannouchi’s American marathon record of 2:05:39 at this year’s Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 10. Hall set his current PB of 2:06:17 at the 2008 London Marathon.

Khannouchi, the former world record holder when he ran for Morocco, set the U.S. record in 2002 after becoming an American citizen.

In less than two weeks, Hall will face off in the BAA Boston Marathon against fellow American Meb Keflezighi, Ethiopia’s Deriba Merga, Abderrahim Goumri of Morocco and Gilbert Yegon of Kenya.
