The Boston dad is back.
Just when the running scene had almost forgotten about him, Mike Rossi has gone and gotten himself arrested. According to Philadelphia Magazine, Rossi was at a Kenny Chesney concert last weekend when he was arrested by the Philadelphia police department for criminal trespassing.
According to the news report, he was in an out-of-bounds area off stage when stadium staff asked him to leave. He refused. The police showed up and arrested him after he still refused. The offense could result in up to 90 days of jail time and his court set is apparently set for July 7.

The Boston Debacle
For those who are unfamiliar with Rossi, he is a Philadelphia runner who made himself famous after last year’s Boston Marathon. The runner took his kids on a three-day vacation from school to attend the marathon. When the school notified him that the absences were unapproved, he retaliated with a letter explaining why three days immersed in the Boston atmosphere was an unforgettable and education learning experience for his kids. The running scene applauded him. The school’s letter is below.
But his fans turned on him soon after. The popular running site Letsrun.com found out that he likely cheated his way to getting a Boston qualifying time.
Rossi denied all allegations of cheating despite the website offering him a large sum if he could prove his time to be correct.
