NYC marathon opens registration with Cyber Monday deal

The New York City marathon has opened applications for the race bib lottery today.

Today there is a special Cyber Monday processing fee discount. The fee is only $5 on Monday, Dec. 2, rather than the usual $11.

With your application you will also be “entered into a contest to win one of 26 guaranteed, non-complimentary entries to the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon.”

In a race that uses a lottery system to select runners, this means you will be entered into a different lottery in hopes of skipping the larger lottery. You will still be expected to pay for your entry.

You can register for the lottery here for the Nov. 2, 2014 race. The entry fee for Canadians selected is $347 USD.
