Parapan Am Games: Athletics day two recap
The Canadian Parapan team added 23 more medals to their total count on Tuesday, bringing the overall medal count up to 84 at only the halfway point of the Games. The Canadian team currently sits in second overall behind the Brazilian team. The team set out with the goal of achieving a third place standing by the time the Games end on August 15, a goal that they are well on their way to achieving.
Michelle Stilwell proved that her job in the B.C. provincial legislature hasn’t slowed her down one bit. She won the women’s T52 100m decisively, in a race that may be seen as the highlight of the seven medals that Canadians brought home from athletics on Tuesday.
