Sporting Life 10K to make changes for 2010

A Sporting Life 10K online race survey brings on improvements for next year's race.

The Sporting Life 10K in Toronto on May 3 featured a new course and finish area in the historic Fort York site. The race also introduced a wave start, to handle the 11,000 runners. After doing an online survey after the event, race officials have decided to implement some changes for next year. They include increasing the number of “waves” at the start to about 2,500 to 3,000 per wave, with 10 minutes between each group, and recruiting more volunteers to help direct spectators at the start and finish.
