The eastern United States is being hit hard with heavy snowfall and cold conditions this weekend bringing upwards of 75 cm of snow in some parts of New York and Maryland.

Still, despite conditions, some runners have been spotted running during the inclement weather that has hit the eastern U.S. over the previous 24 hours.
The storm has been known as Blizzard 2016 and Storm Jonas with much of social media tagging the storm as #Snowzilla because of its strength.
If you are going to run outside in the snow, remember to wear visible apparel and watch out for poor footing.

As can be seen above, running in snowy conditions limits visibility and can be dangerous. No shame in hitting the treadmill or cutting a run short in inclement weather.
Conditions have gotten to the point where a number of track and field and road race events are being cancelled or postponed. For one, the New York Road Runners (NYRR) cancelled the NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half because of severe weather.
