Toronto Yonge Street 10K to change to waterfront

Spring might feel like a long way away (because it is) but many runners already have ideas of which spring races they will be partaking in. Just recently, Canadian Running Series announced two major changes to popular spring races in Canada.

The Toronto Yonge Street 10K is evolving into the Toronto Waterfront 10K this year. Right now, directors are working on a new course but they say it should run from the city’s University Avenue to Lakeshore, past the CNE and returning to the finish at Coronation Park.

Once they get city approval of the course, it will be all set to go. The 2016 event will take place on either June 25 or 26.

Spring Run Off gets new sponsor

The annual Spring Run Off has just gotten a new title sponsor. Race Roster has signed on to sponsor the race which is Canada’s oldest continuous road race. The 2016 running will be its 38th. Previously, the race was known as Harry’s Spring Run Off. This year, Race Roster is going to be creating a runner-friendly online registration as well as an app which runners can use during their race training.

The Race Roster Spring Run Off is set for April 9, 2016. Registration opens Dec.7.
