Usain Bolt was the big attraction of the Adidas Grand Prix track meet in New York on Saturday but expressed that he was not happy with his 200m race.

“I wasn’t too happy with my time today,” he’s reported as saying by the BBC. “Training has been going well and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.”

Bolt won the event running a 20.29. He had hoped to go below 20 seconds for the first time this year and says that this performance was one of the worst of his career. It was a close one between Bolt and 19-year-old Zharnel Hughes. Hughes ran 20.32.

“I don’t know what happened,” Bolt said in an Associated Press report. “I really can’t explain it. It was really bad. It was probably one of the worst turns I’ve ever had in my entire life.”

The last time he was at the meet was seven years ago when he set his first world record in the 100m. The six-time Olympic gold medalist will race world championships and is planning on retiring after the 2017 world championships.

Bolt set the 200m world record of 19.19 at the 2009 world championships in Berlin.
